Description

The TAG Protector Series Armored Pick-Ups provide a more discreet approach to law enforcement divisions when using heavy armored vehicles.  Packages are available on Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Ram, and Toyota Pick Ups.  These units are armored to NIJ III/B6 Levels and are built for departments looking for a way to provide an armored vehicle to protect their officers at a lower budgetary cost, a smaller secondary unit to their primary, or a unit that can be used in more diverse operations.   An armored Pick-Up blends into society, yet can be used for vehicle interdictions, private security details, buy busts, surveillance, patrol, or full out raids and warrants.  Check out TAG’s Discreet Armored Pick-Ups, SUVs and Vans.  We have provided many different variants and layouts for the US Military, US Special Forces, United Nations, US And Foreign Embassies, and law enforcement agencies all over the world.

Specs/Features

NIJ III/B6 Rated Armor, blast protected floors, run flat tires, upgraded suspension and braking system, upgraded tires, inner steel kick plates, hidden emergency lighting package, siren/pa, partially operational driver window.  This unit is designed to offer departments an armored rescue vehicle that is more discreet and affordable than an APC.

In Nato a Standardization Agreement (STANAG) defines processes, procedures, terms, and conditions, for a common military or technical procedures or equipments between the member countries of the alliance. Each NATO state ratifies a STANAG and implements it within their own military.

The Technology Assessment Program is sponsored by the Office of Development, Testing, and Dissemination of the National Institue of Justice (NIJ), U.S. Department of Justic. The progam responds to the mandate of the Justice System Improvement Act of 1979, which created the NIJ and directed it to encourage research and development to improve the criminal justice system and to disseminate the results of the Federal, State, and local agencies.

The Technology Assessment Program is an applied research effort that determines the technological needs of justice system agencies, sets minimum performance standards for specific devies, tests commercially available equipment against those standards and disseminates the standards and the test results to criminal justice agencies nationwide and internationally.

The purpose of the Association of Testing Centers for Anti-Aggressive Materials and Constructions (VPAM) is to promote the exchange of experience, mutual assistance in technical matters and mutual information.

Among other things, a common opinion will be made possible in central questions of the testing of attack-inhibiting materials (eg. in the development and introduction of new standards and guidelines).

Members of VPAM are independent and committed to neutrality. the testing bodies, which are members of the VPAM, work according to the relevant quality standards EN ISO / IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of test laboratories) and EN 45011 (General requirements for bodies which operate product certification systems.
