Armored GMC Sierra 2500

Vehicle Details

Description

The GMC Sierra line 2500 and 3500 are two vehicles you should definitely consider for armoring. These heavy-duty pickup trucks are large, spacious, and sturdy. The Armored Group (TAG), LLC, recommends these tough trucks for armored protection vehicles built to last. The 2500 and 3500 are both equipped with special features, interior and exterior enhancements, and plenty of room in the cab.

GMC Sierra 2500 Features

The Sierra 2500HD pickup truck offers enhanced driving components and a quiet, smooth ride. This truck delivers the professional-grade handling capacity and driving quality we have come to expect from GMC, but in an all-new package. This vehicle has increased radiator capacity for enhanced cooling performance, a new induction system for increased horsepower, and driver enhancements, such as a strong front prop shaft for better reliability.

The cab structure of this truck is high-strength steel, creating a fortress your unit will feel safe in even before armoring. It is available from TAG with a new 6.6L Duramax V8 diesel engine, delivering 910 pounds/feet of torque, a 19% increase from previous models. This new engine also delivers 12% higher horsepower, coming in at 445. The 6.6L Duramax is the quietest idling engine offered in a Sierra heavy-duty truck, with acoustic-treated rocker covers.

GMC Sierra 3500 Features

The Sierra 3500HD has the same ultra-powerful 6.6L Duramax diesel V8 engine as the 2500HD, as well as the enhanced driveline and cooling components. You will enjoy the same quiet ride in the 3500, and the same amount of control and capability. The main difference between each model is payload capacity. The 3500 automatically comes with a heavy-duty automatic locking rear differential, black trailering mirrors, and an integrated trailer brake controller. There are more optional features available in the 3500 model than the 2500 model.

In Nato a Standardization Agreement (STANAG) defines processes, procedures, terms, and conditions, for a common military or technical procedures or equipments between the member countries of the alliance. Each NATO state ratifies a STANAG and implements it within their own military.

The purpose is to provide common operational and administrative procedures and logistics, so one member nation's military may use the store and support of another member's military.

STANAGs also form the basis for technical interoperability between a wide variety of communication and information systems (CIS) essential for NATO and Allied operations.

The purpose of the Association of Testing Centers for Anti-Aggressive Materials and Constructions (VPAM) is to promote the exchange of experience, mutual assistance in technical matters and mutual information.

Among other things, a common opinion will be made possible in central questions of the testing of attack-inhibiting materials (eg. in the development and introduction of new standards and guidelines).

Members of VPAM are independent and committed to neutrality. the testing bodies, which are members of the VPAM, work according to the relevant quality standards EN ISO / IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of test laboratories) and EN 45011 (General requirements for bodies which operate product certification systems.
