Description

The KUVASZ is a heavily armored, military‑grade tactical vehicle engineered for  missions where survivability is non‑negotiable. Built to meet STANAG Level 3a/3b blast  protection and STANAG Level 2 ballistic protection, the KUVASZ is purpose‑designed  for high‑threat environments, delivering exceptional resilience against explosive and  ballistic threats in frontline operations.

Designed for rapid deployment and sustained operations, the KUVASZ features a  reinforced, heavy‑duty structure that maximizes durability without sacrificing  operational capability. Its robust architecture allows it to dominate rugged terrain,  urban conflict zones, and hostile environments, making it a dependable platform for  forces operating in the most demanding conditions. 

With seating for up to 10 personnel, the KUVASZ offers a spacious and ergonomic  interior optimized for crew comfort, mission equipment, and rapid troop movement.  The vehicle’s interior layout supports operational efficiency while maintaining  readiness during extended missions and high‑intensity deployments. 

Mobility is reinforced through advanced suspension systems and a military standard  chassis, ensuring stability, control, and confidence under extreme conditions. The  KUVASZ achieves a maximum speed of 100 km/h, strong gradeability, and exceptional  off‑road performance, including high fording capability and favorable approach and  departure angles, allowing it to maintain momentum across complex terrain. 

Powered by a 6.8L inline‑6 diesel engine producing 330 hp and 980 Nm of torque, paired  with an automatic transmission, the KUVASZ delivers the torque and reliability required  for armored operations. A selectable 4x4 drivetrain, heavy‑duty running gear, 20‑inch  alloy rims, ballistic run‑flat tires, and robust braking systems further enhance mobility  and control in combat and high‑risk environments. 

Developed with mission adaptability in mind, the KUVASZ supports flexible  configurations, including optional 360° rotatable turret systems, enabling forces to  tailor the platform to specific operational requirements. This adaptability makes the  KUVASZ a powerful solution for military units and security forces requiring  uncompromising protection combined with battlefield mobility.

In Nato a Standardization Agreement (STANAG) defines processes, procedures, terms, and conditions, for a common military or technical procedures or equipments between the member countries of the alliance. Each NATO state ratifies a STANAG and implements it within their own military.

The purpose is to provide common operational and administrative procedures and logistics, so one member nation's military may use the store and support of another member's military.

STANAGs also form the basis for technical interoperability between a wide variety of communication and information systems (CIS) essential for NATO and Allied operations.

The Technology Assessment Program is sponsored by the Office of Development, Testing, and Dissemination of the National Institue of Justice (NIJ), U.S. Department of Justic. The progam responds to the mandate of the Justice System Improvement Act of 1979, which created the NIJ and directed it to encourage research and development to improve the criminal justice system and to disseminate the results of the Federal, State, and local agencies.

The Technology Assessment Program is an applied research effort that determines the technological needs of justice system agencies, sets minimum performance standards for specific devies, tests commercially available equipment against those standards and disseminates the standards and the test results to criminal justice agencies nationwide and internationally.

The purpose of the Association of Testing Centers for Anti-Aggressive Materials and Constructions (VPAM) is to promote the exchange of experience, mutual assistance in technical matters and mutual information.

Among other things, a common opinion will be made possible in central questions of the testing of attack-inhibiting materials (eg. in the development and introduction of new standards and guidelines).

Members of VPAM are independent and committed to neutrality. the testing bodies, which are members of the VPAM, work according to the relevant quality standards EN ISO / IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of test laboratories) and EN 45011 (General requirements for bodies which operate product certification systems.
