Description

The BATT‑S is a compact, high‑mobility armored vehicle purpose‑built for speed,  maneuverability, and precision. Designed for operations where agility is critical, the  BATT‑S excels in urban environments, rapid‑response missions, and tight‑terrain  engagements where larger armored platforms are unable to operate effectively. 

Engineered to deliver STANAG Level 2 ballistic protection with STANAG 2a/2b blast  protection, the BATT‑S provides dependable survivability while maintaining a lighter,  more agile profile. Its proven platform architecture ensures operational reliability  without sacrificing responsiveness or control in high‑pressure situations. 

With seating for up to 8 personnel, the BATT‑S features an ergonomic interior layout  optimized for crew comfort, rapid ingress and egress, and efficient mission execution. 

The vehicle’s lighter frame, combined with an optimized suspension system, enables  swift maneuvering and precise handling during time‑sensitive operations. 

The BATT‑S is available in multiple mission configurations, including APC, Tactical  Command, Reconnaissance, and Medical Evacuation, allowing security forces to tailor  the platform to specific operational requirements. This adaptability makes it a versatile  solution for military units, law enforcement agencies, and rapid‑deployment forces  operating in dynamic environments. 

Mobility and control are further enhanced through reinforced suspension components,  advanced braking systems, selectable 4x4 capability, and run‑flat all‑terrain tires.  These features ensure confident performance across mixed terrain while maintaining  stability, traction, and mission readiness under demanding conditions. Powered by a 6.7L V8 diesel engine producing 330 hp and 950 lb‑ft of torque, paired  with a 10‑speed automatic transmission, the BATT‑S delivers strong acceleration and  dependable performance. Its compact dimensions and favorable approach and  departure angles support effective maneuverability in confined operational spaces  while retaining off‑road capability when required.

In Nato a Standardization Agreement (STANAG) defines processes, procedures, terms, and conditions, for a common military or technical procedures or equipments between the member countries of the alliance. Each NATO state ratifies a STANAG and implements it within their own military.

The purpose is to provide common operational and administrative procedures and logistics, so one member nation's military may use the store and support of another member's military.

STANAGs also form the basis for technical interoperability between a wide variety of communication and information systems (CIS) essential for NATO and Allied operations.

The Technology Assessment Program is sponsored by the Office of Development, Testing, and Dissemination of the National Institue of Justice (NIJ), U.S. Department of Justic. The progam responds to the mandate of the Justice System Improvement Act of 1979, which created the NIJ and directed it to encourage research and development to improve the criminal justice system and to disseminate the results of the Federal, State, and local agencies.

The Technology Assessment Program is an applied research effort that determines the technological needs of justice system agencies, sets minimum performance standards for specific devies, tests commercially available equipment against those standards and disseminates the standards and the test results to criminal justice agencies nationwide and internationally.

The purpose of the Association of Testing Centers for Anti-Aggressive Materials and Constructions (VPAM) is to promote the exchange of experience, mutual assistance in technical matters and mutual information.

Among other things, a common opinion will be made possible in central questions of the testing of attack-inhibiting materials (eg. in the development and introduction of new standards and guidelines).

Members of VPAM are independent and committed to neutrality. the testing bodies, which are members of the VPAM, work according to the relevant quality standards EN ISO / IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of test laboratories) and EN 45011 (General requirements for bodies which operate product certification systems.
