Description

The BATT®-APX (Ballistic Armored Tactical Transport®) is a smaller copy of its larger brother the BATT®-X.  It is ideal for law enforcement agencies and tactical teams to carry out missions in both rural and urban settings that are looking for a smaller footprint, better turning radius and who made need increased departure and approach angles.  The BATT®-APX was specifically designed to allow two units to be loaded in a 40’ container and fit many airplane configurations.  With an unmatched turning radius, the BATT®-APX is a perfect fit for organizations looking for an armored rescue vehicle that can navigate smaller roads and tight quarters.  The Armored Group (TAG), designed the BATT®-APX series of vehicles using input provided by tactical teams around the world. The BATT®-APX series stems from a need for vehicles that offer protection, comfort, ease of maintenance, storage, and convenience superior to the competition.

We based the BATT®-APX on the Ford F-550 4x4 chassis, available in gas and diesel engines. The diesel version offers more torque and a faster throttle response, while the gas model is quieter and less expensive, but still offers adequate horsepower. The BATT®-APX can achieve highway speeds of over 80 miles an hour (128 kph).

In Nato a Standardization Agreement (STANAG) defines processes, procedures, terms, and conditions, for a common military or technical procedures or equipments between the member countries of the alliance. Each NATO state ratifies a STANAG and implements it within their own military.

The purpose is to provide common operational and administrative procedures and logistics, so one member nation's military may use the store and support of another member's military.

STANAGs also form the basis for technical interoperability between a wide variety of communication and information systems (CIS) essential for NATO and Allied operations.

The Technology Assessment Program is sponsored by the Office of Development, Testing, and Dissemination of the National Institue of Justice (NIJ), U.S. Department of Justic. The progam responds to the mandate of the Justice System Improvement Act of 1979, which created the NIJ and directed it to encourage research and development to improve the criminal justice system and to disseminate the results of the Federal, State, and local agencies.

The Technology Assessment Program is an applied research effort that determines the technological needs of justice system agencies, sets minimum performance standards for specific devies, tests commercially available equipment against those standards and disseminates the standards and the test results to criminal justice agencies nationwide and internationally.

The purpose of the Association of Testing Centers for Anti-Aggressive Materials and Constructions (VPAM) is to promote the exchange of experience, mutual assistance in technical matters and mutual information.

Among other things, a common opinion will be made possible in central questions of the testing of attack-inhibiting materials (eg. in the development and introduction of new standards and guidelines).

Members of VPAM are independent and committed to neutrality. the testing bodies, which are members of the VPAM, work according to the relevant quality standards EN ISO / IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of test laboratories) and EN 45011 (General requirements for bodies which operate product certification systems.
